Digital Design

What is Digital Design? To put it simply it is the art of creating things on a computer that don’t involve any physical objects. For example, below you will see that some of our previous clients have benefitted from our creations when products are simply too hard to film or photograph (without using a lot of people and places). In one example, you can see grave shoring equipment. For this client (The Teleshore Group), we visited their warehouse and measured every item of their telescopic grave shoring equipment. Taking these measurements, we created each component to look exactly like the real thing and animated it into a simulated grave. This video is used to sell the product AND to show the cemetery staff how to use the equipment safely. In other examples you can see moving logos, or animated mascots. We have even created skip-carrying trucks moving along a road. - Absolutely everything on this web page is NOT REAL. - It’s all Computer Generated Imagery.

Advertising Products with CGI

Improve sales and promote products with a CGI video

Sometimes a product can be too large to represent well in a photograph/video. Sometimes the cost of shooting photos and videos outweighs the return on investment. That’s where Computer Generated Video / Imagery comes into its own. Creating this CGI grave-shoring equipment saved us hiring a graveyard, digging a grave-shaped hole, transporting equipment, relying on good weather, paying staff wages to use it safely, and gave us the opportunity to show the product in the very best way without a spec of mud anywhere!! Stings and Graphics

Standing out from the crowd

Every company has a logo and some level of branding. The brandmark, word mark and tagline are all important elements but making them come alive with a bit of animation can really make it stand out.

As well as making the logo move why not have some bespoke icons too? So many options to explore that will help enrich your media materials such as print articles, websites, exhibition stands and so much more.

Visualising a brand

Helping to make decisions with CGI

Pitching ideas, pre-sales of products gaining investment. - All issues in modern business. We like to help by creating visuals. The beauty of Computer Generated Imagery is that we can manipulate it to suit our needs. For example, this ‘grab truck’ has been created in a computer. It’s not real. We can change the colours, or the decals with a swipe of a mouse. Should we paint them blue, or yellow or green? (An expensive mistake to make if you order them in the wrong colour!!)

Real ‘Looking’ environments

Placing your products in situ

Once we have modeled the product, we can also model the environment. This means that we can place your product anywhere you like. On a road in the Welsh hills, on a beach in an exotic location, on a cliff, underwater… the options are limitless. It’s so flexible. Here you can see a number of examples of computer-generated images. Remember, none of it is real!!

creating mascots

CReative content to capture the imagination

Many businesses aren’t naturally image orientated. Financial services, legal services or HR are just a few sectors that traditionally rely on stock imagery to populate their website. But why? Here is an example from The Money Partnership. Their brand colours are blue and orange but they wanted to have a piggy bank mascot. - No problem. We created their mascot and popped him amongst household items to convey meaning and most importantly ‘character’.
